Join our dedicated small team as the Manager – full-time 38 hours per weekAbout the roleDevonport Community House is seeking a motivated and experienced Manager to lead our vibrant Community House. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, managing a team of staff and volunteers, and driving the strategic direction of the organisation to best serve the local Devonport community.What you'll be doingManage the overall operations and administration of the community house, ensuring efficient and effective service deliveryOversee the recruitment, training, and management of staff and volunteers to deliver high-quality programs and activitiesDevelop and implement strategic plans, policies, and procedures to align with the organisation's mission and visionLiaise with key stakeholders, including government agencies, community groups, and funding bodies, to secure resources and partnershipsIdentify and respond to the evolving needs of the local community, developing new initiatives and programs to address these needsManage the community house's budget, financial records, and reporting requirementsRepresent the community house at various events, meetings, and forums to promote its services and achievementsWhat we're looking forExtensive experience in community development, social services, or a related fieldHigh level of knowledge and skills in all areas of computer software operation (Microsoft Suite)Proven track record in leading and managing a team, preferably in a community-based organisationStrong understanding of the issues and challenges faced by disadvantaged individuals and communitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholdersDemonstrated project management and budgeting skills, with the ability to ensure efficient and effective use of resourcesTertiary or Diploma qualifications in a relevant field, such as Social Work, Community Development or Business Management.Current WWVP card and National Police Check or the ability to attain one.What we offerAt Devonport Community House, we believe in creating a supportive and inclusive work environment that empowers our employees to thrive.
