Electrical Engineering Technician Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineering Technician to join our team.
* The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and preparing detailed drawings of electrical switchboard systems.
* In this role, you will collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve challenges in the development of switchboard systems and solutions.
* You will engage with customers to understand project requirements and present creative, forward-thinking design concepts tailored to switchboard applications.
* The ideal candidate will prepare quotations, including material costings and identification of long lead-time components that may impact switchboard system production or delivery timelines.
* They will ensure all quotations remain technically competitive and viable from both engineering and market perspectives.
* You will coordinate the prototyping of new switchboard-related components, ensuring initial production units are inspected and tested for compliance with customer specifications.
* This role requires swift and effective support in resolving manufacturing issues to maintain on-time delivery of switchboard assemblies and installations.
* The successful candidate will oversee testing, calibration, and maintenance of all electrical equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
* They will lead initiatives for repairing, upgrading, and testing cable modification programs in support of ongoing switchboard project developments.
* You will collect and present engineering performance data, including the use of statistical analysis and graphical reporting to drive continuous improvement.
* Foster strong communication within the Engineering Team and across departments to ensure collaborative problem-solving and cost-effective delivery of switchboard systems.
* Taking charge of on-site technical support for customer installations, ensuring all switchboard energy electrical works meet safety and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven experience in electrical engineering or a related field.
* Detailed knowledge of electrical switchboard systems and their design.
