Accounts Officer/Accounts Clerk

Location: Sunbury and/or Bolinda

Employment Type: Full-time

Reporting to: Finance Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Officer/Accounts Clerk to support the financial operations of the organisation. This role is responsible for accounts payable functions, reconciliations, compliance administration and general financial support, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and adherence to company policies and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

* Accounts Payable: process accounts payable invoices in accordance with company policies, procedures and guidelines within monthly timeframes, ensuring accuracy
* Invoice Reconciliation: verify supplier invoices, scan and process for approval, arrange payments and reconcile monthly supplier statements
* Purchase Orders: audit pricing on all purchase orders and quotations; maintain and issue all company purchase order requests
* Banking & Payments:

* Process supplier payments and credit card transactions

* Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
* Monthly reconciliation of credit card statements and batching of transactions
* Trade Creditors Aged Trial Balance:

* Daily maintenance, including approved invoices and processed payments

* Reconcile and finalise month-endin line with company requirements
* Trading Account applications: Prepare and manage

Additional Responsibilities

* Process petty cash replenishments, debit card reimbursements and employee expense reimbursements
* Process and manage PPSR registrations and discharges, maintaining the PPSR register
* Maintain ASIC renewals and statutory files
* Manage vehicle register, including car registration transfers and payments
* Calculate and prepare quarterly Fuel Rebate claims
* Prepare and post journal entries as required
* Manage general office administration
* Respond to and manage supplier enquiries in a professional and timely manner

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

* Previous experience in an Accounts Officer/Accounts Clerk/Accounts Payable role
* Sound knowledge of accounts payable, reconciliations and month-end processes
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
* Competence using accounting systems. Experience with Xero would be well regarded
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* A proactive and reliable approach with the ability to work independently
