Role Overview
Utilities Support Engineer in the Community Utilities Operations team, providing engineering support across the operation, maintenance and renewal of Council water and wastewater treatment and distribution infrastructure.
Responsibilities
* Provide engineering support to internal stakeholders for operation, maintenance and renewal of Community Utilities assets.
* Develop operational procedures, safe work documents and safety documentation including works schedules, shutdown procedures, SWMS and risk assessments.
* Review maintenance activities and outcomes to identify opportunities to improve asset performance, reliability and efficiency.
* Provide technical advice on water, wastewater and recycled water systems, including environmental impacts and mitigation of environmental harm.
* Support capital works delivery by contributing technical input to design reviews, workshops, data analysis and project delivery activities.
* Assist with procurement activities for maintenance and renewal works and services.
* Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and asset performance.
* Promote safe working practices, including participation in inspections, inductions and WHS risk management activities.
* Collaborate with Community Utilities teams including Process, Reticulation Networks, Construction and Waste.
* Participate in PMHC's after‐hours on‐call roster.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering.
* Demonstrated experience in an operational engineering role, including project planning and management.
* Experience in process optimisation, troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.
* Strong computer skills, including experience using industry‐related software applications.
* Current Class C Driver Licence.
* General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
