Job Description · Assist the Service Modernisation Program and the department in developing conceptual, logical, and physical solution specifications that translate business requirements into implementable systems and solutions.
· Analyse, document, and present overviews, impacts, options, recommendations, and decisions on contemporary ICT solutions across diverse and complex business domains and technological landscapes.
· Support SMP projects and departmental activities by providing advice and participating in the selection and implementation of technologies and the solution development process.
· Monitor the market to gain knowledge and understanding of emerging technologies, including Amazon technologies and telephony solutions, Microsoft Azure technologies and create reference architectures to exploit new capabilities.
· Provide expertise and manage the development of concept proposals and business cases for the introduction of new service offerings.
· Take responsibility for understanding client requirements and business impact, collecting data, delivering analysis, and resolving problems.
· Provide strategic advice to stakeholders on a broad and diverse range of issues relating to ICT and Solution Architecture in a timely manner.
· Ensure all solutions adhere to the department's security policies and Queensland Government cybersecurity standards, addressing potential vulnerabilities and risks.
· Apply user-centred design principles to ensure ICT solutions meet the needs of end-users and deliver improved service outcomes.
The Successful Applicant The successful Solution Architect should have:· Demonstrated experience in Solutions Architecture, Information and Security Architecture, and Enterprise architectural principles, with a strong understanding of emerging technologies.
· Proficiency in cloud-based solutions and data integration strategies.
· Experience with telephony solutions and their integration into broader ICT systems.
· Expertise in enterprise and solution architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
· Strong knowledge of CRM platforms and their integration into existing systems.
· Experience with Cloud Architectures, particularly AWS technologies (e.g., Amazon Connect) and Microsoft Azure technologies · Demonstrated ICT technical experience of a minimum of 5 years.
