The job
Lead a talented cross‐functional team. This is a leadership role with P&L responsibility, managing leaders collectively responsible for marketing, sales, professional learning, customer experience and product operations. You'll have a long leash, a budget, and a first‐class team.
Help to transform teacher practice at scale. While the leadership role may sound commercial (and it is, to an extent) the heart of the job is transforming teacher practice at scale, whether through professional learning or embedding best‐practice use of Stile. Revenue is simply a measure of success if we are helping to improve student outcomes across Australia.
Help us to communicate who we are and what we stand for. Great sales and marketing is simply about relationship building and effective communication. But there's a science behind both, and a little art too. Help us to continually improve in this domain.
Be a voice in state and national policy discussions. We work with over 40% of Australian secondary schools. Our connection to the teaching community is often stronger and more meaningful than that of some state governments. It's our responsibility to use our platform to advocate for policy decisions that we believe will be best for teachers and students (including extending beyond science education).
Partner with expert colleagues globally. Stile is part of a global organization that is laser focussed on providing students with the best education, across reading, writing, numeracy and science. This role will collaborate with our colleagues globally to learn and continually improve our practice more broadly.
Qualifications, experience, and skills
Leadership experience: You have at least five years of leadership experience, with a track record of rallying teams around clear goals. If you're a school or education system leader fluent in pedagogy that's a great start.
Agency: Strong work ethic, hustle, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a positive, collaborative attitude. You approach setbacks and challenges with grit and tenacity.
A thirst to learn: You don't just know that you'll be better off always leveling up in your own time, you do it. You do it because you love learning and being a better version of yourself week in week out.
Life at Stile

We're flexible workers, so you're fine to work from home from time to time, as suits your schedule.
