Job Description
Position Overview
IHM isseekingan experienced and motivated Senior Lecturer in Nursing to join our academic team to deliver post graduate degree education. This role involves teaching, research, and academic leadership in support of students enrolled in the School of Nursing programmes. The successful candidate willbe responsible fordelivering high-quality lectures and seminars, contributing to research and curriculum development, supervising students, and providing academic mentorship - ensuring students gain the knowledge, skills, and professional attributesrequiredto excel in their future nursing careers.

Duties & Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality lectures, seminars, and tutorials.
* Facilitate clinical skills training and laboratory sessions in line with current industry and regulatory standards.
* Prepare and review course resources, assessment tasks, and learning materials aligned with programme learning outcomes.
* Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, examinations, and practical assessments, providingtimelyand constructive feedback.
* Engage in research, scholarship, and continuous professional development relevant to nursing practice and higher education pedagogy.
* Maintain current knowledge of evidence-based nursing practice and integrate it into teaching and curriculum delivery.
* Provideacademic guidance, supervision, and mentorship to students throughout their educational journey.
* Implement proactive strategies to enhance student progression, engagement, and success, reducing attrition and supporting positive student outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience
* A PhD in Nursing or a closely related discipline is essential.
* Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse, with no conditions or notations on registration.
* Minimum of 3years of teaching experience in Nursing at tertiary or higher education level.
* Minimum of2yearsof Australian clinical experience in nursing.
* Demonstrated commitment to student-centred teaching, evidence-based education, and academic excellence.
* Up to date knowledge on the Australian Nursing registration process for internationally qualified registered nurses.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire a diverse student cohort.
* Up-to-date knowledge of nursing practices, healthcare policy, and contemporary developments in nursing education.
