Senior Claims Advisor – Financial Lines
Marsh – Perth, Western Australia, Australia.
Flexible regarding location; hybrid role – at least three days a week in office.
Role Overview
As a Senior Claims Advisor, you will provide high-level expertise and manage claims under Directors & Officers (D&O), Professional Indemnity, and other financial lines to determine coverage.
You'll advise a portfolio of SME to corporate and ASX large clients, delivering exceptional service and building trust.
Responsibilities
Handle specialist financial lines claims with a focus on client advocacy.
Provide high-quality technical advice and support to clients from first notification to final settlement, ensuring the client's best interests.
Offer technical advice on policy coverage and interpretation, advocating for clients against insurer indemnity denials.
Respond to broker and client queries, conduct meetings, and liaise with clients, insurers, claimants, and external providers.
Manage moderate to complex claims in accordance with company processes and Client Service Agreements.
Identify opportunities for claims referral and collaborate with the Advocacy team on claims issues.
Qualifications
3–5 years of insurance claims experience, preferably in financial lines.
A law degree and experience in a legal environment and/or ANZIIF qualifications is advantageous.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain and strengthen relationships with clients, insurers, and representatives.
