Due to continued growth, an opportunity exists for a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, based in our Naval Base Workshop.

Reporting directly to the Workshop Foreman, the successful candidate will work on a fleet of side loading garbage compactors, hooklift trucks, vacuum trucks and light vehicles.
Tasks will involve but not be limited to the following:
* General mechanical works
* Both major and minor repairs
* Carrying out breakdown repairs
* Scheduled maintenance
The successful applicant will possess:
* Trade certification in Heavy Diesel Mechanical.
* A current HR driver's licence
* Forklift licence
* Familiarity with Quality Assurance & Occupational Health & Safety
* Self motivation skills
* Good communication and organisational skills
Above all the successful candidate needs to be team driven, able to work autonomously and willing to contribute to the growth of the business.
Rate will be negotiated, depending on experience.
In accordance with our Company’s recruitment process, all successful applicants will be required to undergo a Pre Employment Medical, which includes a drug test. A current driving history, with a good driving record will also need to be provided.
