The opportunity:
This exciting opportunity is for a permanent position based in our Broadmeadow office. The HSEQ Coordinator is to ensure RPC’s operations comply with relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations and standards. The role involves monitoring and coordinating the management of the HSEQ aspects of their located facility.
The Key Responsibilities:
General Responsibilities
* Assist in providing a safe working environment for RPC employees, visitors and contractors.
* Proactively identify and coordinate the reduction in the workplace quality, safety and environmental risks.
* Assist management and supervisors in creating a working culture where employees focus on quality assurance and HSE risk control.
* Assist in monitoring operations to perform these to the required environmental standards and legal requirements, to minimise adverse environmental impact (dust/ fumes emissions to air, waste to landfill, discharges to sewer/stormwater).
* Monitor that the production work is completed to the required quality standards.
* Inspect & monitor practices to ensure the Facility receives safe, environmentally sound and quality products/services from Suppliers and Contractors.
* Work collaboratively with all RPC departments to achieve desirable outcomes for RPC and RPC customers.
* Ensure all incidents/ accidents/ near misses/ non-conformances are reported, recorded, investigated and closed (with improvements and preventative measures in place) in a timely manner.
* Lead / Participate in external and internal safety, environment, and quality audits.
Planning
* Maintain a schedule for internal workplace HSEQ monthly inspections and conduct such inspections.
* Plan & participate in internal and external HSEQ audits.
* Plan and communicate each month with project teams and facility employees about quality, safety, environmental month statistics and recommendations for continual improvement.
* Plan and participate in the auditing of HSEQ audits on Critical Suppliers
* Plan and participate in the general ISO 9001/ 14001/ 45001 audits.
Execution
* Conduct inductions for employees, visitors and contractors.
* Assist & Monitor that the work is performed to the quality and safety standards specified.
* Assist & monitor that work is performed in full compliance with HSE legal requirements and Facility Safety Rules.
* Assist & Monitor that Non-Conforming Product is identified and segregated in a HOLD / QUARANTINE area for further corrective & preventative actions.
* Ensure goods inward inspections are performed in accordance with Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and goods receiving procedures.
* Provide HSEQ input in supplier selection & approval.
* Conduct or ensure Job Safety & Environment Risk Assessments are conducted and documented.
* Understand the operations of the business and the hazards and risks involved and have risk controls in place before work starts.
* Identify repeatability and productivity improvements.
Reporting
* Monitor safety and quality for all projects and highlight issues to the Operations manager.
* Generate and Submit reports (weekly, monthly, as required) about Production quality, safety and environment.
The Ideal Candidate:
Essential:
* Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment legal regulations in the field of their expertise domain
* Experience and a strong desire to proactively identify & provide continual improvement opportunities aiming to reduce HSEQ risks
* Minimum three (5) years relevant experience in OHS/ QUALITY management system.
* Ability to prepare, present and communicate effectively to groups on OHS/QUALITY and related topics.
* Three (3) years of working knowledge in conducting ISO 9001/ ISO 45001 Audits
* Basic knowledge of Word and Excel.
Desirable:
* Qualified or willing to be qualified ISO 9001 / ISO 45001 auditor.
* Working knowledge and experience in using SAP
* Experience in treating non-conformities with the capability to identify/demonstrate root causes through problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5why, fishbone, etc.
