About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, the successful candidate will lead the maintenance team to repair and maintain all company owned equipment in the processing plants at Greenbushes Operations. This position ensures compliance with statutory regulations while delivering safe, efficient, and high‑quality maintenance outcomes. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to minimising downtime through effective planning and execution of shutdown activities.
Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise the maintenance team, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and site safety standards.
* Coordinate daily communications, pre‑start meetings, and safety checks (Take 5, JSA, Safe Work Instructions) to maintain a safe work environment.
* Oversee workshop operations, statutory inspections, and housekeeping, acting as the appointed statutory supervisor for fixed plant mechanical workshops.
* Manage work planning, scheduling, and resource allocation, including contractor engagement and SAP time confirmations.
* Provide coaching and mentoring to team members and apprentices, ensuring training and development needs are met.
* Monitor maintenance activities, budgets, and KPIs, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency and cost‑effectiveness.
* Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, and participate in incident reporting and investigations.
About the Candidate
* Minimum 5 years post‑trade experience and at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
* Certificate IV in Leadership and Management or Maintenance Management and Schedule 26 (desirable).
* Strong leadership, communication, and time‑management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
* Proven experience in maintenance planning, fault diagnosis, and reliability‑focused maintenance.
* High level of computer literacy and familiarity with maintenance management systems (e.g., SAP).
* Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and drive continuous improvement.
* Sound knowledge of safety management systems and compliance requirements.
