The WA Parks Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to connecting people with nature and inspiring a love for Western Australia's parks. Through our programs and partnerships, we help people experience, value and care for our extraordinary natural spaces.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Marketing & Engagement Officer to join our small, high-impact team. This hands-on, varied role blends marketing, digital communications, community engagement, fundraising support, and project coordination.
Reporting to the General Manager you will play a central role in planning and delivering marketing campaigns, community programs and digital communications to help grow our supporter base, strengthen our brand, and support the success of our programs and partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate the Spring into Parks annual campaign and support the delivery of signature programs, corporate partnerships, and community events.
* Manage the Foundation's Business Member program and donor engagement campaigns.
* Develop and schedule marketing content across digital platforms and communication channels.
* Prepare grant applications and associated reporting to support program delivery and organisational sustainability.
* Work with committees and the General Manager to support the delivery of fundraising and supporter engagement strategies.
* Provide executive and administrative support, including committee administration and volunteer coordination, as required.
About You
You are a motivated, detail-oriented marketing and communications professional who enjoys variety and purpose in your work. You are comfortable managing multiple priorities, creating compelling content, and building strong relationships with partners, stakeholders and community members.
Required Experience
* Minimum 5 years' experience in marketing and communications with demonstrated event or project coordination experience.
* Experience in brand management and social media campaign planning and delivery, including content development (writing and editing).
* Working knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, and digital performance reporting.
* Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship management, and written and verbal communication skills.
* Highly developed organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
* Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and experience with website, CRM, and digital communication platforms (e.g., WordPress, Funraisin, Campaign Monitor, Later, Salesforce).
Desirable:
* Experience working in a not-for-profit membership-based organisation.
* Experience in fundraising and/or preparation of successful grant applications.
* Knowledge of environmental, outdoor recreation or tourism sectors, including key opportunities, challenges, and trends.
* Design capability using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Cloud.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Based in Crawley on the Swan River foreshore with a beautiful natural outlook and onsite parking, this is an exciting opportunity to join a small and committed team initially on a part-time, fixed-term contract (parental leave cover), with extension options. Flexibility on days, hours and WFH.
