Financial Services Analyst Position
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Financial Services Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of the financial system and protecting consumers from harm.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct analyses on the application of laws in relation to the financial services sector, including reviewing financial advice files for compliance with the law and the financial adviser Code of Ethics.
* Identify, assess, and action regulatory issues to promote adherence with the law and better outcomes for consumers.
* Conduct research and analysis on emerging issues across the sectors.
* Draft clear, accurate analysis and advice on matters, with supervision on complex issues.
* Assist in drafting regulatory instruments and documents.
* Consider applications for relief from legislation, reviewing submissions, applying policy and precedents, and settling legal instruments.
* Liaise and engage with stakeholders on regulatory issues and encouraging improvements in industry practice.
* Contribute to written reports, presentations, and briefings for senior management and external stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Relevant tertiary qualification.
* Experience as an analyst in the financial services sector, ideally gained in a corporate, consulting, government, or academic environment.
* Strong analytical, investigative, and research skills, including data analysis and presentation.
* Experience managing relationships with industry and other stakeholders.
* Ability to take a well-considered, forward-thinking, and planned approach, with agility and flexibility to change.
