Job descriptionOverviewWorking hours: Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:00Salary £25,000 annuallyThe Noticing Team at MJ Quinn plays a vital role in enabling the successful delivery of telecoms projects across the UK. As part of this essential team, the Noticing Co-ordinator is responsible for submitting and managing Notices and Permits through relevant systems, ensuring that engineering works are authorised and able to proceed without delays.This position is crucial to supporting the operational and commercial goals of the business, particularly in the rollout of the Fibre Network and ongoing Service and Repair works. The Noticing Co-ordinator will liaise with local authorities to gain the necessary approvals and maintain timelines for planned works, while also providing updates and feedback to the wider operations team.By maintaining strong relationships with local councils and internal teams, the Noticing Co-ordinator helps ensure compliance, minimise disruptions, and keep our projects on track.Who are MJ QuinnMJ Quinn Integrated Services Ltd is a UK-based company specialising in delivering end-to-end infrastructure services across multiple industries, including telecommunications, utilities, and mechanical and electrical engineering. MJ Quinn’s customer-focused approach and dedication to sustainability have solidified its reputation as a trusted provider in the infrastructure services sector.ResponsibilitiesTo act as a point of contact to deal with queries from the local authorities and MJQ operations team.Notices raised in line with legislative lead in times as requested from the operations team.Managing the day-to-day work volumes for Noticing & Permits through our internal processes and systemsFollow the street works notification as per Highways Authority guidelines and processes.Manage all works comments and associated modifications in a timely manner.Follow Noticing and Permit processes, using third party sources and websites to obtain date certainty.Delivering excellent customer service to our customers to ensure the best customer experience.Assessing permit applications from operations staff to ensure all works are compliant with legislation and appropriate permit scheme operations.Receiving and recording timely starts, stops, and register activities to avoid financial penalty.To always promote a positive and professional image of the department, by adhering to company policies, procedures, and standards.Raising and following up on non-conformance reports, to ensure that any actions identified, pursued, and resolved.Work as part of a larger team to develop working practices and procedures.Work safely and responsibly within MJ Quinn’s values and operational policies, procedures, and accepted behaviours to avoid harm to yourself, those around you and our neighbours and communities.Experience and skillsThe successful candidate will possess:Telecoms experience (desirable)Noticing / Permitting experience (desirable)Admin experienceHave strong planning, organisation, and monitoring abilities, with attention to detail.Enjoy a challenge, have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate all levels.Competent on Microsoft ExcelHave a high standard of numeracy.Be computer literate.Have strong written and verbal communication skills.Have a strong orientation towards quality, safety, and continuous improvement.Can prioritise work, work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage business expectations.Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Be adaptable and flexible in your approach to work.Diversity StatementMJ Quinn’s are committed to promoting an environment that values diversity.
