Specialising in commercial projects, they have an established end-to-end delivery service, coupled with a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility to produce high quality joinery. With over 25 years' experience within the Shopfitting and Joinery industry, they've built their reputation as an industry leader, and as a major player in the fit-out of the retail, hospitality, beauty, hotel, leisure and recreation fields.

Based in the Bayside suburbs, this company focusses on production of high-quality residential joinery including kitchen, bathroom, and laundry cabinetry. Catering to a broad range of project types - from straightforward, functional joinery to high‑end architectural builds and full house‑lot joinery packages. Experienced in delivering both simple and highly detailed custom solutions, supporting clients who require precision workmanship, tailored designs, and consistent quality. With a skill-set encompassing cutting-edge layout work, intricate detailing, and a commitment to delivering joinery that enhances residential living spaces, they are seeking a highly experienced Cabinet Vision set-out / drafter to take their drawings to the next level.
Your new role
Your day-to-day tasks will include:
* Reading and interpreting architectural plans, ensuring joinery solutions meet structural, function and aesthetic requirements.
* Creating custom and detailed joinery drawings and cutting lists using either Pytha or Cabinet Vision, ensuring all documentation is suitable for manufacturing and installation.
* Ensuring drawings match the allocated budget and pricing, and comply with company standards, building codes, safety requirements and client specifications.
* Prepare files for CNC machining including machining details, edge banding, routings, boreholes, nesting and optimisation.
* Liaising with sites to confirm specifications required and replicating requirements in the software.
* Collaborating with production teams to ensure drawings have been completed accurately and to specifications, reflecting manufacturing capabilities, material availability and shopfloor workflow.
* Performing quality checks on completed drawings, prior to release, verifying accuracy of measurements, tolerances and construction details.
* Reviewing and revising drawings based on client and team feedback, maintaining consistent file management, ensuring all revisions are tracked and issued correctly.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you must be highly proficient with designing bespoke joinery, interpreting architectural drawings, detailing precise cut item lists and programming CNC patterns to optimise stock and reduce waste, with a proven track record of delivering drawings on time and within budget.
You must display the following:
* Proven experience as a drafter in either the residential or commercial joinery and shopfitting industry.
* Proficiency in either Pytha or Cabinet Vision software
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Have a strong understanding of joinery techniques, materials and construction methods.
* The ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication and time management skills.
* A qualified trade background in Cabinet Making is highly desirable.
* Ability to work in the office 5 days a week - remote/hybrid working is not available.
