What you’ll do

* Oversee the Flow Control Team's performance within the distribution centre to ensure all areas of production are being carried out according to the operational plan, so that store orders are marshalled on time and meeting dispatch windows.
* Manage all control room activities on their designated shift, ensuring effective communication of all shift activities to key stakeholders for handover and review.
* Drive the timely marshalling of store orders and adherence to dispatch windows by ensuring production aligns with the operational plan.
* Continuously monitor production, people, and equipment, reporting performance against the operational plan and KPIs, and recommending adjustments to meet dispatch windows.
* Lead the team's cultural and environmental aspects, fostering a respectful workplace, and identify performance deviation trends for root cause analysis by relevant teams.
* Manage, coach and develop a high performing team that meets agreed objectives, delivers best practice results and works to make continuous improvements
* Collaborate closely with Operations and Automation Optimisation teams to achieve shift objectives and service levels, while also coordinating effective maintenance planning and execution with the service team.
* Continuously monitor production, people, and equipment, reporting performance against the operational plan and KPIs, recommending adjustments to meet dispatch windows, identifying impacts of unplanned outages, and managing revised operational plans.

What you’ll bring

* Proven people leadership skills and experience coach and mentor through change to optimise team performance
* A continuous improvement mindset with a demonstrated knowledge of using CI tools to deliver benefits.
* Experience with various computer programs: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Powerpoint, Google Suite
* Proven experience and confidence with navigating various software programs
* Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to convey information with the required sense of urgency
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to form and maintain strong relationships internally and externally and engage with stakeholders.
* Strong analytical, planning and problem solving capabilities.
* Flexibility to meet business needs, including changing shifts and days as required
