As a highly skilled Heavy Diesel Fitter, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults on underground mining equipment. Your work will involve conducting preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs, ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery.
We require an experienced and qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic with at least 2 years' post-trade experience in underground mining or related industries. You should possess a manual driver's licence and relevant RPLs to operate underground vehicles. Additionally, you must have solid knowledge of underground mining regulations, procedures, and safe handling of explosives.
Your diagnostic and fault-finding skills should be exceptional, allowing you to quickly identify and resolve issues. The ability to work in confined spaces and handle physically demanding conditions is also essential.
