ROUSSOS Recruitment is partnering with a respected South Australian contractor to appoint a Project Manager within their growing civil construction division.
Headquartered in Adelaide's north west, this privately owned builder has established a reputation across both building and civil works. Their civil arm continues to expand off the back of repeat clients, negotiated projects, and a commitment to delivering practical, well planned outcomes.
This is a business that backs its people, runs realistic programs, and values trust and accountability over micromanagement.
The Role
As Project Manager, you will take end to end responsibility for the delivery of civil projects across South Australia. Working closely with site based teams, engineers, and subcontractors, you will be involved from early planning through to final handover.
Projects typically include civil infrastructure, earthworks, services, and associated works delivered in live environments and alongside broader construction programs.
Key responsibilities include:
* Full lifecycle project management
* Cost control, forecasting, and reporting
* Programming and procurement planning
* Managing subcontractors and suppliers
* Coordinating consultants and internal teams
* Supporting site supervisors to drive program and quality
* Maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships
* Ensuring safety, quality, and environmental standards are met
About You
You will be an experienced Project Manager with a background in civil construction who enjoys being close to the detail while still thinking strategically.
You will ideally bring:
* Proven experience delivering civil projects in Australia
* Commercial and contractual capability
* 2+ years of project management experience
* The ability to build trust with site teams and clients
* Clear communication and leadership skills
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
This contractor offers a genuinely different environment to larger tier businesses. Decisions are made locally, leadership is accessible, and project teams are empowered to do their jobs properly. What sets this business apart is a stable pipeline of secured civil work delivered locally, allowing teams to focus on well planned projects without the need for interstate travel. Supported by accessible leadership, realistic workloads, and strong collaboration between office and site, the business genuinely values longevity and invests in long term careers rather than short term wins.
