Reporting to the Finance Manager, this full‐time Finance Officer role will primarily support the Accounts Payable function. The successful candidate will play an integral role within the Finance team, gaining hands‐on experience across core finance processes while ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier payments.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical accounting skills in a fast‐paced, collaborative environment within a growing technology business.
The key responsibilities in this fast‐paced environment are:
* Process supplier invoices
* Reconcile, verify, allocate and process payments
* Sort and match invoices to purchase order and resolve any discrepancies
* Code invoices to the general ledger
* Perform bank account reconciliations
* Process customer rebates
* Management of vendor claims, including vendor accounts reconciliations
* Analyse accounts and produce month end reports and assist with month end closing
* Ensure all records are maintained with complete and accurate information
* Respond to enquiries from internal and external stakeholders
* Prepare financial and business reports
* Provide assistance to the Finance Manager as required
To be successful in this role you will have:
* 2‐3 years accounting or finance experience
* A tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related discipline
* Progression toward membership of one of the Accounting Industry bodies
* Clear written and verbal communication skills
* Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and cope with high volumes of work and competing demands
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, contribute to a culture of teamwork and take shared responsibility for achieving results.
* Initiative and drive, with the ability to work under limited supervision
* A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
* Demonstrated working knowledge and experience in the use of a financial system and Microsoft Office software applications in particular Microsoft Excel
