About This Role
Your new role:
* Develop foundational knowledge and skills in image-guided interventional radiology.
* Ensure all diagnostic imaging procedures under your responsibility are performed to a high standard, including the provision of accurate and timely written reports.
* Contribute to the preparation and delivery of diagnostic imaging and related clinical meetings.
* Support the education and training of Radiology Registrars, as well as paramedical, nursing, administrative staff, and medical students, where service requirements permit.
* Actively engage in and promote research activities relevant to diagnostic imaging.
About You
The Department of Diagnostic Radiology provides a 24-hr clinical support service to medical staff, other clinical departments, as well as the surrounding community and incorporates a complete Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). All general radiological services, as well as advanced imaging technology including Ultrasound, Computerised Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Digital Subtraction Angiography and Nuclear Medicine are available. The department employs a total of 60 medical staff - including radiologists and registrars, 107 radiographers, 40 nursing staff and 30 administrative staff – including executive support officers.

Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.
We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.
We're expanding our hospital to make sure everyone gets the care they need. We're adding more beds, modernising our buildings, and improving our spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients with all new services and facilities planned to open by 2027.
