Inventory Assistant
Location: Melbourne Airport Distribution Centre
Term: An initial fixed term of 12 months, with potential to convert to permanent.
Join our DC team and support effective inventory control across our warehouse operations.
Duties
- Conduct physical stock counts and cycle counts on the warehouse floor
- Operate high reach forklift to access and verify stock in racking
- Investigate and help resolve stock discrepancies
- Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to check reports and input data
- Support stocktakes and audits as required
- Collaborate with warehouse team to maintain inventory accuracy
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised work area
Education & Experience
- High school degree or equivalent preferred
- Warehouse operations experience preferred
Skills & Requirements
- Proficient in using inventory software and basic computer systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to safely operate high reach forklifts (licence required)
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Problem-solving mindset for investigating stock issues
- Physically fit and comfortable working in a warehouse workplace
- Organised and able to follow procedures and schedules
