**Job description**
- This role will work closely with the Director of Public Affairs and Marketing to implement the National Capital Authority's (NCA) marketing program to support the NCA's goals in event and place activation. This includes campaigns for events, exhibitions and public programs; generating audience research and data for stakeholder engagement and informing organisational strategy; and delivering tourism initiatives in association with strategic partners.
**Duties**
Under the direction of the Director Public Affairs and Marketing:
- Project manage advertising campaign development, roll out campaigns for events, exhibitions and public programs, ensuring all activity is on brand, high quality and delivered on time.
- Liaise with internal and external partners and agencies to brief in and review advertising, marketing and promotional material for projects ensuring excellent creative outcomes and timely delivery.
- Lead the development and implementation of marketing and audience research projects, and the development of informative and relevant high-level reports to senior management and the NCA Board.
- Manage the development and execution of marketing and promotional strategies, and associated budgets and supplier procurement, to expand the NCA's impact and engagement in relation to tourism, education and public programs.
- Liaise with government and non-government organisations and with the community, industry groups and other partners on the marketing of NCA priorities, events, public programs and education initiatives.
- Assist the Director Public Affairs and Marketing to lead, manage and develop team members, including providing coaching and mentoring to achieve high levels of performance.
- Contribute to the NCA's broader management processes, including business and operational planning.
- Stay up to date with best practice marketing methods and technology, and provide recommendations and solutions informed by this knowledge.
- Be a practice member of the Public Affairs and Marketing Team, sharing ownership for improving the team's ways of working.
- Business-as-usual and ad-hoc marketing activities, as required.
**Qualifications/Mandatory Requirements**
This role requires a marketing specialist with experience in the cultural, tourism or the marketing, advertising or PR sectors. They will be motivated by campaign innovation, content opportunities and audience engagement strategies. They will be results-focussed and data-driven with an ability to build both team and organisational capability through clear communication and relationship management.
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications and/or extensive relevant industry experience.
- Ability to gain and maintain a security classification of Baseline is mandatory.
- A high level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail is required.
**Preferred experience**
- Significant previous experience in an equivalent marketing role, is highly valued.
- Understanding of government and industry principles relevant to their capabilities.

- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with a range of internal and external stakeholders in the development, implementation and evaluation of marketing and advertising campaigns.
- Demonstrated ability to produce and coordinate advertising and promotional materials and working closely with internal and external digital teams, content producers and designers.
- Demonstrated ability to lead data-driven campaigns including data analysis, development and implementation of market research briefs with external partners and evaluating research outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and executive across video, social media, copy writing and editing.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and optimise digital marketing campaigns across platforms
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing deadlines and expectations to ensure quality and timely delivery of outputs.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and deliver exceptional ROI.
- Excellent copy writing skills, attention to detail and strong communication, relationship management and negotiation skills.
