Run your section smoothly during prep and service, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish;
Maintainhigh standardsof food presentation, cleanliness, andorganisation;
Support junior chefs, sharing your knowledge and helpingeachothergrow;
Follow recipes and plating guides while also bringing your own flair to the kitchen;
Work efficiently to meet prep schedules, service times, and reduce food waste;
Uphold food hygiene and safety standards at all times;
Communicate clearly with the team to keep service flowing seamlessly;
Contribute to a positive, respectful, and supportive kitchen culture.
Qualifications

* You have at least 1 year of experience in a Commis Chef role within a hotel operation or independent venue;
* You are a natural team player who can motivate others and take direction with a positive attitude;
* You are passionate about food, bold flavours, and delivering consistently excellent dishes;
* You bring strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to cleanliness;
* You understand the balance of creativity and discipline required in a professional kitchen;
* You communicate clearly and work well with both back and front-of-house teams;
* You thrive in a fast-paced environment and keep a cool head during busy services.
