This position plays a key role in driving equipment uptime, managing capital projects, leading technical teams, and supporting cross-functional collaboration to meet overall business goals.Job DutiesLead and mentor a team of engineers and maintenance technicians to support safe, efficient operationsDevelop and execute strategic maintenance plans, including preventive and predictive programs, to maximize equipment reliability and minimize unplanned downtimeManage departmental budgets, monitor spending, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising performance or safetyInvestigate equipment malfunctions, determine root causes, and implement sustainable corrective measuresPlan and execute engineering initiatives such as equipment installations, system upgrades, and facility improvementsIdentify and drive continuous improvement opportunities to enhance equipment performance, reduce operational inefficiencies, and support production goalsServe as the technical liaison between maintenance, production, and other departments to resolve complex equipment or process issuesLead capital projects, including infrastructure upgrades involving utilities (e.g., water systems, fire protection, electrical supply, sewer systems)QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical fieldMinimum 7 years of experience in engineering and maintenance leadership roles, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environmentProven ability to lead engineering projects and teams, with strong understanding of equipment design, materials, R&D, and production systemsKnowledge of project management methodologies and experience delivering complex engineering solutionsFamiliarity with embedded systems and system-level engineering practicesStrong background in machine shop operations, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, TPM, Six Sigma)Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to, ,, ,, ,, ,, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
