Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Field Service Supervisor is responsible for ensuring a high-quality customer experience related to WesTrac service, repair, and general service queries within the assigned area of service/equipment.
This position is open to both FIFO and residential candidates. WesTrac offers a Residential allowance for local candidates in Kalgoorlie, making it an attractive opportunity for those seeking lifestyle balance and community living.
Roster: 10 days on, 4 days off, 12.5 hours per day (including unpaid meal breaks)
Location: Kalgoorlie – residential or FIFO from Perth
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise a team of 12+ technicians and apprentices, ensuring quality service repairs and aftermarket support for mining, BCI, and underground equipment
* Manage work order scheduling, execution, and compliance with WesTrac and Caterpillar standards
* Provide warranty support, liaising with clients to resolve issues and maintain relationships
* Enforce safety protocols and conduct risk assessments to promote a safe work environment
* Utilize CAT systems (SIS) and Microsoft Office (Excel) for job tracking, reporting, and documentation
* Lead and develop team culture through coaching, mentoring, and leadership
Qualifications and Experience:
* Qualified Heavy Duty trade professional with supervisory experience in mechanical or dealership settings
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams
* Strong understanding of OH&S protocols and risk management in high-risk environments
* Effective planning and time management skills to handle dynamic workloads
* Excellent interpersonal skills and stakeholder engagement with a customer-first approach
* Proficiency in computer systems for job tracking and reporting
