Overview
NEPEAN Power is seeking an experienced Electrical Projects Estimator to join our Thornton team. This pivotal role supports securing high-value projects by providing accurate, competitive, and timely cost estimates and tender submissions. Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager, you will work closely with clients, engineers, and suppliers to develop detailed quotations that reflect technical excellence and commercial competitiveness.

Responsibilities
Respond to Requests for Quotation (RFQs) by analysing project specifications, drawings, and scope documents to determine requirements.
Prepare comprehensive and competitive cost estimates for electrical projects, including materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
Compile and submit tender documentation, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and professionalism.
Maintain current knowledge of market rates, industry trends, and technological developments to ensure estimates remain competitive.
Liaise with clients, engineers, suppliers, and internal teams to clarify project details and negotiate costs.
Conduct post-bid analysis on successful and unsuccessful tenders to refine estimating processes and improve future win rates.
The Right Person
Experience as an Electrical Estimator, with a proven ability to respond to RFQs and prepare detailed customer quotations.
Demonstrated experience estimating projects across diverse industry sectors (e.g., commercial, industrial, infrastructure).
Strong technical understanding of electrical systems, codes, and installation practices.
Proficiency with estimating software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills to engage with customers and stakeholders.
Proactive, detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage competing deadlines and collaborate in a team environment.
Highly regarded: existing industry contacts or networks within Renewable Energy Projects (Solar, Wind, Battery Storage), Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) Sector, and Tier 1/2 Contractors.
