**The Company**
Our client is a well respected Energy and Infrastructure business who is pursuing renewed strategy for the 23/24 Financial Year. Having recently demerged from their international parent company, they are undergoing a busy period of growth in their energy markets trading team and is looking to hire an IT Analyst to support the trading environment.

**The Role**
This role is well suited to an ambitious person with pervious exposure in either IT or mathematics and who is interested in learning software development and the role it plays in a trading and risk environment. The role will give you excellent exposure to Energy trading markets and provide you with the mentorship to enable you to embark on a great career in the energy industry.
Key responsibilities will include;
- Database Administration (SQL and Oracle)
- Knowledge resource for all trading and risk data
- Participate in systems analysis and design and in the specification, evaluation, and selection of products and services
- Develop and maintain a consistent methodology for data access
- Gain and maintain an in-depth knowledge of business processes
- Report on problems, developments, issues, and activities related to systems, systems use or systems planning in Australia related to the Trading Systems or IT systems in general
**About You**
Ideally you will have a tertiary degree in economics, maths, engineering or similar and be looking to pursue a post graduate position.
Your proven analytical and quantitative ability combined with your strong interpersonal skills will be imperative to you being successful in this role. You will also have strong IT skills and be willing to learn and adapt new languages to trading as required.
