Clinical Midwife – Birth Suites, Maternity Assessment Centre, Bereavement Support
Metro South Health seeks an experienced Clinical Midwife to join the Birth Suites, Maternity Assessment Centre and Bereavement Support team at Logan Hospital. This permanent part‐time Grade 6 role (48 hours per fortnight) involves advanced clinical leadership, specialist bereavement support and woman‐centred maternity care within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
1. Deliver advanced woman‐centred midwifery care across birth suites and assessment areas.
2. Provide specialist bereavement support and coordinate care for families experiencing loss.
3. Lead clinical practice, education and quality improvement within the maternity team.
4. Deliver complex antenatal, intrapartum and post‐natal care as required.
Qualifications
5. Experienced midwife with advanced clinical skills.
6. Strong clinical leadership skills and commitment to compassionate, evidence‐based care.
7. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
8. Commitment to education, research and continuous quality improvement.
