Event Manager | TECC
About the role
In this role you will book and coordinate the organisation of entertainment, social and corporate events and all other required functions on behalf of internal and external clients whilst also maximising profitable outcomes in line with annual targets and being responsible for securing repeat business where available.
Key Tasks include:
- Book and coordinate all entertainment, social and corporate events for The Precinct, with a key focus on TECC, plus assisting with other events during low periods or as the business requires,
- Ensure that customer service delivery is timely, effective and efficient and that it meets both the client and property needs.
- Make recommendations to minimise cost through the department in order to meet company and divisional budgets.
- Reconcile all supplier accounts and ensure all invoices are processed through Lightyear in a timely manner.
- Ensuring correct revenue figures are updated daily in spreadsheet to assist in accurate forecasting.
- Ensure event calendar is kept up to date with accurate information at all times
- Liaising with the Sales & Events Team to ensure the most efficient use of events space to maximise financial goals.
- Support the Sales Manager in the development and implementation of department strategies.
- Liaise and communicate with all other property departments to ensure the success of each and every event.
- Have a positive working relationship between all employees within the department and across the property.
- Provide information, ideas and support to the Sales Manager and team members.
About you
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Event Management / Coordination required
- Entertainment Industry experience highly desirable.
- Tertiary education in event coordination or management highly desirable.
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Consistent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with a property management system, in particular Opera Cloud is highly desirable.
