Overview
Permanent opportunity to join this small, friendly team in a payroll-focused role with additional accounts responsibilities. This is a permanent, full-time position based in the inner west of Sydney. Reporting to the Finance Manager, approximately half of your role will be to take responsibility for the end-to-end Payroll for circa 250 staff. The other half will be assisting with day-to-day accounts work.
Responsibilities
* Weekly payroll for approx. 250 staff
* Prepare and lodge payroll taxes
* (PAYG) withholding tax and superannuation contributions
* Assist in the integration and implementation of new payroll systems/upgrades
* Deal with all payroll-related inquiries
* Month-end reconciliations
* Ad hoc tasks as required
Qualifications
* Prior experience as a Payroll Officer
* Ability to work in a developing environment, implementing new processes and procedures
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise across a business at all levels
* Strong understanding of payroll legislation, experience and ability translating EAs, and excellent attention to detail
