Job Description
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, lead the maintenance team that maintains the site's infrastructure, services and associated projects.
Drive continuous business improvement and quality assurance of maintenance performance using problem-solving skills; bring fresh ideas to challenge the status quo.
Supervise maintenance activities for the infrastructure mechanical maintenance team, ensuring work is completed to schedule, quality and safety standards while maintaining maintenance systems and data integrity.
Provide coaching and support to drive high performance, leveraging prior leadership experience.
Advise a team of maintainers to achieve agreed maintenance goals and support the Infrastructure and Services Superintendent to ensure the mine plan is achieved within deadlines.
Maintain a safe workplace with visible leadership and coordinate the Infrastructure and Services Maintenance team to achieve agreed KPIs.
Plan effectively and negotiate to establish strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Assist in detailed analysis of equipment failures to identify improvement opportunities.
Roster and Location
Dayshift roster Mon - Thurs, Tue - Fri work pattern (10 Hour Shifts).
Currently based on site at HVO South (off Comleroi Road, Warkworth).
About You
You are an engaging and enthusiastic leader who drives a high-performance culture through clear expectations, team engagement and recognition of success.
Offering coaching and support to drive high performance by leveraging prior leadership experience.
Completion of frontline leadership or specific maintenance leadership competencies is highly regarded.
Trade level qualifications in the mechanical field, combined with open cut mining experience, are essential.
Project Management skills are essential, with ability to manage multiple priorities, budgets and timelines effectively.
Previous experience in a maintenance supervisory role and/or engineering qualifications are advantageous.
Exceptional communication skills and a high level of computer literacy.
Experience with Asset Management fundamentals and proficiency using SAP is desirable.
