About the Role We are seeking a project-driven individual to develop and coordinate waste education and behavioural change activities to support landfill diversion efforts.
The successful candidate will collaborate with councils and stakeholders across the Wide Bay Burnett region to deliver community-focused programs aligned with regional waste management plans and Queensland's waste targets.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about community engagement and education, aiming to impact waste reduction and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities Contribute to the development and review of waste management strategies related to education and behaviour change.
Develop schedules and reporting for Education and Behaviour Change activities.
Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs for waste education programs.
Design and deliver marketing campaigns, events, and competitions, including managing resources and costs.
Manage projects related to education and behaviour change, including budgeting and scheduling.

Candidate Requirements Experience in delivering effective teaching methodologies that influence behaviour.
Strong communication, negotiation, and motivation skills for stakeholder partnership.
High organisational and analytical skills for program development and project reporting.
Ability to collaborate, support, and foster cooperation among stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, digital communication tools, and presentation software.
Qualifications & Licences Tertiary qualification (AQF Level 7 or above) in waste management, sustainability, education, or relevant experience.
Current Working with Children Blue Card or ability to obtain.
Current QLD Class C Driver's Licence.
Preferred Experience Knowledge of waste management and resource recovery services within government contexts.
