We are seeking a skilled tradesperson or 4th year apprentice to join our Building Asset Renewal team on the Gold Coast in a highly rewarding and challenging role.
This position offers an exceptional opportunity for personal and professional growth, working alongside experienced construction teams to deliver projects across building, asset renewal, and civil infrastructure.
The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, with experience in supervising daily site activities under the guidance of the Site Manager or Foreman. They will also have expertise in carpentry tasks such as structural repairs, timber framing, cladding, and finish work.
Key Responsibilities:
* Site Coordination: Supervise daily site activities and ensure compliance with WHS regulations and site safety protocols.
* Carpentry Tasks: Execute structural repairs, timber framing, cladding, and finish work.
* Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to WHS regulations and site safety protocols.
* Record Keeping: Maintain accurate site records and contribute to project reporting.
* Apprentice Support: Onboard and mentor apprentices and labourers.
* Subcontractor Liaison: Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers for timely delivery of materials and services.
* Toolbox Talks and Inspections: Participate in toolbox talks, site inspections, and incident investigations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Trade Qualification: Cert III or higher in Carpentry.
* Experience: Minimum 3 years in commercial or remedial construction.
* Construction Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
* QA, Safety, and Environmental Systems: Familiarity with QA, Safety, and Environmental systems.
* Site Management Tools: Proficiency with site management tools and mobile apps.
* Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
