About the role selectability is offering a development opportunity for an employee to learn and gain practical experience within the Support & Scheduling Officer role in Mackay by working alongside a current team member from 25 May 2026 to 12 June 2026. In this role, you will observe and be guided through key responsibilities such as coordinating schedules and providing administrative support, contributing to the smooth delivery of services. You will also gain exposure to effective communication with employees, recipients, and stakeholders, building your skills in organisation, coordination, and service support within a dynamic team environment. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assist in scheduling the STARS program, ensuring roster completion and monitoring progress Update and maintain master and daily rosters to ensure accurate staffing levels Provide training and ongoing support for Lifestyle Support Workers (LSWs) on using systems and applications Accurately enter and update recipient information in software programs Provide assistance to members of the public by addressing their inquiries and guiding them accordingly Monitor and order office supplies to ensure adequate inventory levels Coordinate and oversee scheduling for vehicle usage Respond to incoming and outgoing mail, emails, and other forms of communication with professionalism and courtesy Coordinate meeting room bookings, including preparing necessary materials Prepare, format, and edit documents, reports, and presentations Provide general administrative support as required About you To be considered for this rewarding role you will have: Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a person-centred approach Proficiency in using scheduling software and other administrative tools Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to changing priorities High level of professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information Role requirements Proven experience in a rostering or administrative role, preferably within the community services sector A Child Safety & Personal History Screening check A Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (or the ability to obtain) A NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability to obtain) NDIS Worker Orientation Module "Quality, Safety & You" completion certificate (or the ability to obtain) A current minimum P1 "C" class Queensland drivers licence Ability to work a rotating on call roster from time to time About the offer The Support and Scheduling Officer position is based in Mackay.
