Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Boilermaker – Special Class to join our team in Port Hedland. This role will suit a safety-focused tradesperson with strong fabrication skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic contracting environment.
Pay Rate: $49.82 per hour
Responsibilities
* Troubleshoot issues and provide effective solutions aligned with best practice and client outcomes.
* Collaborate with internal teams and other contractors to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Adhere to all Company policies and procedures at all times.
* Report all incidents, near misses, hazards, or unsafe conditions to the Execution Lead.
* Participate in regular safety audits and inspections.
* Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with SHEQ rules and regulations.
Key Skills & Experience
* Mechanical Trade Qualification – Cert III or higher (minimum requirement).
* Demonstrated experience performing welding and fabrication to AS 1554.4-2004 (High Strength Quenched & Tempered Steels).
* International Welding Technologist Certification (highly regarded).
* Strong demonstrated experience working with Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, and Aluminium.
* Proficient in MMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW welding processes.
* Ability to confidently read and interpret Isometric and Structural fabrication drawings.
* Able to pass welding qualifications using all welding processes in all positions.
* Ability to work flexibly and adapt to a complex, fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
* Qualifications as a Nace 2 Coating Inspector
