Andrews House Aged Care Facility - Trafalgar

Permanent Part Time, up to 56 hours per fortnight

Fixed term part time, up to 40 hours per fortnight (parental leave backfill), commencing ASAP until February 2027

We are seeking dedicated and motivated Associate Nurse Unit Managers (ANUMs) to join our team at Andrews House, Aged Care facility in Trafalgar.

The ideal candidates will demonstrate strong leadership and role-modelling abilities, with outstanding organisational and daily management skills. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively handling multiple tasks under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Your well-developed communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills will enable you to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team and engage constructively with key stakeholders. Additionally, you will have the capacity to undertake special projects, contributing to continuous improvement and high-quality patient care.

As an ANUM you will demonstrate competence in the provision of quality nursing care to residents and assume responsibility for the nursing plan of care. You will have the authority to make and be held accountable for patient care and management decisions specific to the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the plan.

Our preferred candidate will have:

* Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
* Demonstrated experience in a leadership role.
* Sound knowledge and experience of contemporary and holistic practices in gerontic nursing.
* Demonstrated experience in providing administrative support.

The following experience/qualifications would be considered advantageous:

* Previous experience in Aged Care.
* Understanding of the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards.
* Other qualification in Nursing or Management.
* Knowledge of privacy legislation and document control.
* Previous Experience within a hospital or health care environment.

IMPORTANT: Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) may be required prior to commencement.

All employees must hold current entitlement to work within Australia. A six month probationary period applies to all new appointments.

The group comprises a number of sites: Baw Baw Health and Community Care Centre, Community Services Centres in Warragul and Trafalgar, Cooinda Lodge Aged Care Residence, Rawson Community Health Centre, Andrews House Aged Care Residence, Warragul Linen Service and West Gippsland Hospital.
