Bishops Transport is a prominent, rapidly growing, family-owned transport company servicing Western Australia and the Northern Territory.

Our head office is based in Perth, and we are looking for an experienced and motivated candidate eager to build upon their skill set and join a successful team based in Perth .


Business Development Manager - Transport

Reporting to the State Sales Manager, and working very closely with all Depot Managers, you will work closely with the sales, operations, and head office teams to ensure that Bishops Transport continues to partner with customers seeking world-class service at a fair price. Bishops Transport has undergone significant change over the last five years, and we are looking for smart, ambitious, hardworking individuals to join our team as we continue to grow and develop in the next five years and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and pursue major account opportunities for Bishops Transport to service.

Develop and present detailed proposals and service offerings to potential customers.

Manage existing major accounts, focusing on scope growth and high service delivery.

Own and administer a pipeline, focusing on a consistent and methodical contact cycle.

Reporting to the State Sales Manager, you will contribute significantly to driving revenue and volume growth aligned with the business's strategy and operational capabilities.

Build, maintain, and leverage relationships of trust, understanding, and integrity.


Required Experience:

Extensive experience in sales management across logistics, freight, transport, or any B2B product line.

High-level knowledge of operational systems and logistics functions.

Extensive experience in all aspects of Customer Relationship Management (CRM).

Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.

Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.

Contract negotiation and tender management experience.

Total remuneration is negotiable, and competitive rates and conditions will be provided based on experience.
