About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Field Coordinator, the Geology Technician will play a key role in supporting both open-pit and underground operations. This position involves a diverse range of field and core-yard activities to ensure high-quality geological data collection and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Conducting ore mark-ups and ore spotting in the open pit.
* Grade control preparation and sample collection.
* Diamond core processing, including orientation, metre marking, cutting, and sampling.
* Photographing of diamond core and RC chip samples to company standards.
* Assisting Geologists with underground mapping and sampling programs.
* Providing support to other departments as operational needs arise.
About You
* Prior experience working in Open Pit and Underground Environment.
* First Aid Certificate (or ability to gain).
* Nationally accredited Forklift licence and/or IT certification.
* Knowledge and understanding of computers and Microsoft Office software packages.
* Western Australian Unencumbered "C" Class Drivers Licence (Manual).
Location and Roster
FIFO from Perth, DIDO from surrounding areas. Residential applicants are especially encouraged to apply.
Lakewood is located 6km from Kalgoorlie, with our mining operations located within a 40km radius of the processing facility.
Roster: 8/6, 7/7, alternating between day shift and night shift.
