Position Summary:
The Test Engineer reports to the TC Team Leader and will participate in a team responsible for testing and evaluating the functionality and implementation of Electronic Gaming Machine (EGM) games, software & hardware against relevant regulatory requirements. This position will be responsible for obtaining approval for products complying with regulatory requirements by performing a range of test and evaluation tasks at a routine level of supervision and independence. These tasks must be completed in an efficient and quality minded manner. Therefore, it is crucial that the products are evaluated with minimal issues such that it decreases the approval process time and reduces the occurrence of issues identified in the field.
What You'll Do:
* Evaluate game / hardware / software submissions against technical regulatory requirements. By using appropriate testing tools and test scripts ensure that submissions comply with operational and technical requirements.
* Correspondence with independent test labs and regulators regarding game/software/hardware submissions and issues identified.
* Develop and improve processes, procedures and test scripts within the Business Services department. Ensuring compliance with ISO9001 requirements.
* Keep up to date with current gaming regulatory requirements.
* Other duties, as assigned by Management.
Knowledge and Skills:
* A Bachelor's Degree in a related field (i.e. Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering etc…).
* 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred; recent graduates are also encouraged to apply.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* High level of Microsoft Office knowledge.
* Knowledge of programming languages such as C/C++/C# or other high level language.
In addition, we seek candidates who possess:
* Knowledge of world-wide regulatory requirements for gaming equipment.
* Knowledge and experience on executing and developing test scripts and procedures.
* An understanding of Australian and International Quality Management Standards.
* Experience as a tester in a gaming industry role.
