Quarry Supervisor Job Description
This is a senior leadership role that oversees the day-to-day operations of our quarry. Reporting to the Quarry Manager, you will be responsible for supervising and managing staff and contractors, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental legislation, and implementing business HSE policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervision and management of staff and contractors, including coaching, mentoring and managing shift schedules & work plans
* Training staff on safe working practices and conducting regular safety audits
* Effective management of production and maintenance activities, including promoting and enforcing safety processes and protocols to meet performance outcomes
Requirements:
* Demonstrated experience in hard rock quarry operations, mining and/or fixed and mobile plant operations
* Strong knowledge of hard rock quarrying and crushing processes
* Strong leadership attributes, including initiative to identify, manage, and solve issues as they arise
* Experience in LEAN Manufacturing highly regarded
