As an IP Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing IP networks within the telecom domain.
This role involves ensuring a secure, stable, and high-performing infrastructure through the configuration of network devices, troubleshooting, documentation maintenance, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet technical requirements.
You will play a key role in:
Network Design and Implementation: Planning, designing, and deploying IP networks within the telecom domain.
Device Configuration and Management: Setting up and managing routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
Network Security: Applying and maintaining security policies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and network access control (NAC).
Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Diagnosing and resolving network issues to maintain stability and performance.
Documentation and Standardization: Creating and maintaining documentation for network configurations, procedures, and policies, aligned with industry standards.
Collaboration: Partnering with IT professionals and stakeholders to meet network requirements.
IP Address Management: Auditing and managing IP addresses to ensure proper allocation and usage.
Network Performance Monitoring: Tracking performance, identifying bottlenecks, and optimizing configurations.
Network Upgrades and Maintenance: Conducting regular maintenance, upgrades, and patching to enhance system stability and security.
Security Measures: Implementing safeguards to protect infrastructure and data from unauthorized access.
Your Profile
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in computer science, telecommunications, engineering, or a related field.
Certifications: Industry certifications such as Cisco (CCIE, CCNA, CCNP) are highly regarded.
IP Protocol Knowledge: Strong grasp of IP protocols, networking concepts, and technologies.
Network Design and Architecture: Experience in designing and implementing IP-based telecom network architectures.
Data Center Expertise: Familiarity with data center fabric technologies, including ACI and EVPN-VXLAN.
Troubleshooting Skills: Demonstrated ability to effectively diagnose and resolve network issues.
Security Knowledge: Understanding of network security principles and technologies.
Communication and Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
