Chandler Macleod has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our business and play a visible role in driving new client growth across Consulting, Graduate & Volume, and Managed Services.
Reporting to the Director, Client Solutions APAC, this role is about opening doors, starting the right conversations and turning early‐stage engagement into real opportunities. You'll work closely with delivery leaders and subject matter experts to shape practical, commercially sound solutions and help bring new client partnerships to life.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys being out in the market, spotting opportunity early, and partnering with delivery teams to win and grow meaningful work. This role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Canberra.
In this role you will:
* Spend time in the market identifying and progressing new business opportunities through outbound activity, referrals and existing networks
* Build trusted relationships with prospective clients, understanding their challenges and introducing the right Talent Solutions at the right time
* Progress opportunities from first conversation through proposal development and contract execution
* Work closely with delivery teams and SMEs to shape solutions and ensure a smooth handover into delivery
* Contribute to pricing discussions and commercial structures in line with internal guidelines
* Maintain a clear and accurate view of pipeline activity and upcoming opportunities

* Solid experience in business development or sales within recruitment, consulting, staffing or talent solutions
* Confidence engaging with a range of client stakeholders and holding meaningful commercial conversations

* A consultative mindset, able to listen, understand client needs and connect them to the right solutions
* Strong organisation skills and the ability to juggle multiple conversations at once
