Practice Head of Data & AI (Artificial Intelligence)
Shape, Build, and Enable the delivery of Data and Artificial Intelligence
About Our Client
Engineering partner supporting the energy, utilities, and national infrastructure sectors.
Job Description
* Step into a senior leadership role where you will define how Data & Artificial Intelligence transform asset intelligence, network resilience, and operational performance across Australia's electricity distribution and broader utilities sector. This is a role for someone who is ready to lead industry change, not simply manage projects.
* You will set the strategy, shape the solutions, and drive the impact of AI‐enabled transformation across complex operational environments. Your work will directly influence how critical infrastructure organisations modernise their networks, optimise assets, and unlock the true power of IoT, analytics, and intelligent automation.
* Create and execute a bold yet practical Data & AI strategy that advances asset intelligence and operational excellence across electricity networks. Your strategic direction will guide how utilities adopt AI to enhance safety, efficiency, network reliability, and regulatory compliance.
* Identify and prioritise new opportunities to expand our footprint in electricity distribution and related sectors. You'll help build go‐to‐market propositions that integrate AI, IoT, analytics, and asset optimisation, positioning the organisation as a trusted partner for complex network operators.
* Lead the development of AI‐powered capabilities, including predictive maintenance, asset health monitoring, risk modelling, digital twins, and network optimisation. You'll turn emerging technologies like generative AI, 5G, edge computing and OT‐aware analytics into practical, high‐value operational tools.
* Develop commercially strong value propositions that demonstrate how AI delivers measurable improvements in asset lifecycle management, network resilience, cost efficiency, safety, and service reliability.
* Act as a senior advisor to key stakeholders across operations, engineering, digital, and executive teams. You'll influence transformation roadmaps and guide clients through the practical adoption of advanced analytics and AI‐enabled decision‐making.
