The Role
We are seeking a capable and experienced Spray Rig and Tractor Operator to join a progressive horticultural operation based in Bowen.
This role is primarily focused on the safe and efficient operation of modern spray equipment and tractors. Key duties include the accurate application of crop protection products using boom spray equipment, as well as the mixing and handling of chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines.
In addition, the role involves operating machinery for ground preparation and supporting broader farm operations. The successful candidate will also be responsible for conducting daily pre-start checks, identifying maintenance requirements and carrying out basic preventative maintenance to ensure all equipment remains in optimal working condition.

* Previous spray application experience preferred
* Chemcert accreditation required or willingness to obtain

* Willingness to work additional hours when required based on spraying requirements during peak season
