The Specialist Family Violence Hub Practitioner plays a critical role in providing services to vulnerable families and children who are experiencing or at risk of family violence.
Key responsibilities include:
* Family violence risk assessment
* Safety planning
* Engagement of victim survivors and their children into any supports they need
This includes adopting an integrated approach to safety and child wellbeing, working with police referrals, direct victim survivor contacts, and referrals from other services. Services can be provided by phone, face-to-face at The Orange Door, or through outreach appointments.
A suite of training programs is offered as part of the induction program, including:
* Integrated Practice Framework
* Information Sharing Regime
* Hub site induction and worker health and safety
To be successful in this role, you will hold a minimum Bachelor level qualification in Social Work or equivalency met through the 7 Equivalency Principles. You may also have the ability to speak a language other than English and possess a capacity for flexibility as part of a rostered Triage and response team.
