Our services cover all aspects of a project life cycle from the initial evaluation and study phase through to design, constructions, commissioning and operational support
We are currently seeking an experienced Control Systems Engineer to join our team based in our Ascot office.
The ideal candidate would be responsible for undertaking control system investigations, analysis, design, documentation, programming and commissioning at the highest standard of professional expertise commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities of the role:
- For the setting of standards, design of workflows, procedure and establishment of design tools
- Control system design, application software standards development, documentation; configuration and testing
- Where assigned, undertake the role of Lead control system engineer taking responsibility for meeting budgeted man-hours, cost budgets and schedules
- Where assigned, monitor and manage the work of subordinate engineers to ensure compliance with technical and quality assurance standards and procedures
- Responsibility for the accuracy, quality and timeliness of application software and system design
- Participate in the engineering peer group and exchange ideas and feedback within the team
- Evaluate new technologies and methods for future applications
- Train and mentor graduates and lower-level engineers.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Relevant Electrical Engineering Degree
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similiar position
- Control Systems - Network design
- Telemetry systems – system design and programming
- Control Strategy design and implementation
- On-site commissioning and fault finding
- Proven design capability in an industrial environment
- High level of computer literacy (e.g. spreadsheets, scheduling, word processing, email)
- Able to read technical documentation and client briefs and interpret implications and actions required for successful
implementation
- Ability to prepare and write well-structured technical reports, specifications, business correspondence, as well as meeting
minutes and general project documentation
- Experience developing and writing operational procedures and work instructions
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited
standardisation exists
- Full and unrestricted Australian working rights
