Join UAC Australia Pty Ltd as an Import Airfreight Operator based in Banksmeadow, NSW. This full-time role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of our wholesale air freight forwarding business. As part of our team, you will play a key part in the import of airfreight cargo, managing customer relationships, Airport cargo recoveries and contributing to the overall success of the organisation.
Australian work rights are required for this position.
What you'll be doing
* Coordinating the import of airfreight cargo, including booking, tracking, and monitoring movements
* Liaising with airlines, customs brokers, cartage providers and other stakeholders to resolve any issues and ensure timely clearance & collection of shipments
* Providing excellent customer service by responding promptly to inquiries, addressing concerns, and maintaining strong relationships with clients
* Maintaining accurate documentation and records related to all import activities
* Identifying opportunities for process improvements and contributing to the development of more efficient freight forwarding operations
* Assisting with other administrative tasks as required to support the broader team
What we're looking for
* Minimum 3 years experience in air import freight forwarding, is essential.
* Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to quickly identify and resolve any issues
* Proficient in using Cargowise software and systems is a prerequisite
* A keen eye for detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure
* A proactive and adaptable approach to work, with a willingness to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
