Known for its focus on quality ingredients and seasonal menus, Wonderwood Eatery provides a dynamic food experience from breakfast through to lunch. Role We are seeking a passionate and experienced Chef de Partie to join our kitchen brigade. The successful candidate will be responsible for running a designated section of the kitchen, supporting senior chefs, and helping deliver consistently high-quality dishes. Responsibilities and Duties
* Prepare, cook, and present dishes within your designated section in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
* Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff and apprentices working within the section.
* Ensure food quality and consistency while maintaining portion control and reducing waste.
* Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef on menu planning and special dishes.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation in your section, ensuring compliance with food hygiene and safety standards.
* Monitor stock levels for your section and communicate supply needs to management.
* Assist in receiving and storing deliveries in accordance with food safety regulations.
* Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands.
* Uphold the venue’s reputation for excellence by contributing to a culture of high performance and accountability in the kitchen.
Skills and Qualifications
* AQF Certificate III in Patisserie or equivalent (ANZSCO Skill Level 3).
* Minimum of 3 years' full-time work experience in a commercial pastry role.
* High attention to detail, creativity, and a strong aesthetic sense.
* Solid knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene procedures.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
* Good time management and organisational skills.
* Availability to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
