Job Opportunity: Mechanical Maintenance Fitter
Our organization seeks an enthusiastic and motivated Maintenance Fitter to join our team in Darwin. In this role, you will apply your technical expertise working in a collaborative environment and autonomously on plant maintenance.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing leadership and commitment to safety, quality, and the environment
* Carrying out mechanical repairs with a focus on planned and predictive/preventative maintenance
* Identifying plant critical spares
* Administrative tasks within the maintenance planning system
* Driving continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements for success:
* Vehicle license and High Risk license, including Fork lift, EWP
* Competency in basic oxy/acetylene gas, MIG/TIG welding repairs, and fabrication
* Experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding
* Computer literacy, requiring experience using the maintenance planning system, SAP preferred
* A confident, self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills
* Team player with a high degree of trade flexibility
* Ability to work autonomously and without direct supervision when required
