We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Disability Support Workers to join our supportive and growing team.
We provide supports across both Community Access and SIL (Supported Independent Living) 24/7 services, supporting participants with a range of needs including complex care requirements and mental health presentations.
In this role, you will provide person-centred support that promotes independence, dignity, individuality, and respect. You will assist participants to build life skills, access the community, and achieve their goals within a safe and structured environment.
Shifts are available across a 7-day roster, including morning, afternoon, active night and sleepover shifts.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide person-centred support in line with individual care plans
* Assist with personal care and daily living tasks
* Perform manual handling (including hoists and lifting equipment) (Highly regarded)
* Support participants with complex behaviours and mental health needs
* Facilitate community access and skill development
* Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
* Follow behaviour support plans and risk management strategies
Essential Requirements
* Minimum 12 months’ experience in Disability Support (Desired)
* Experience with manual handling (including hoists and lifting equipment) (highly regarded)
* Experience supporting participants with challenging behaviours (highly regarded)
* Current Australian Driver’s Licence
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module
* Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
* Full working rights in Australia
* Availability to work across a 7-day rotating roster (AM, PM, overnight shifts)
Desirable
* Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent
